Frequently Asked Questions
-
Nothing. We charge $0 upfront. AudioPulse operates on a true licensing partnership, where we take on 100% of the financial risk. We cover all upfront operational, production, voice narration, artwork, and hosting costs to turn your book into a serialized podcast.
If the podcast becomes successful and begins generating ad revenue with a minimum amount of monthly listeners, we simply recoup our initial production expenses from the show's first earnings before splitting the ongoing revenue with you.
If your podcast doesn’t produce you income, you don’t owe us a dime, and you still walk away with a professionally produced show and global exposure across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, and more.
It’s a genuine win-win: zero financial risk for you, and aligned incentives for us to make your show as successful as possible.

You aren't giving your book away to people who were already going to buy it. You are unlocking a massive audience of 158M+ monthly podcast listeners who might never shop for a book, especially from an unfamiliar author. Introducing your story to this vastly larger audience creates a snowball effect: listeners talk about your book, recommend it, and leave ratings and reviews that build organic visibility. That popularity directly translates into higher book sales across all formats. Simply put, if your book is already a chart-topping bestseller, you probably don't need AudioPulse. For everyone else, turning free listeners into vocal advocates is the most powerful way to make your book sell.

Yes. The core mission of AudioPulse is increasing your book’s exposure, but your podcast can also generate passive ad revenue. Once your show hits the minimum monthly download threshold—roughly 400 full listen-throughs a month for an average-length book—programmatic ad monetization can be turned on. While reaching that mark isn't guaranteed, it is very doable: getting someone to press play on a free story during their commute is at least 10x easier than getting them to buy a book and sit down to read it. Even a modest, engaged listener base can turn your marketing channel into an income stream.
-
Yes, 100%. You retain full ownership and copyright of your original manuscript, print, and ebook rights. Our agreement is strictly a licensing partnership to produce, distribute, and monetize the audio streaming and podcast adaptation of your work.

Virtually none. AudioPulse provides a completely turnkey production. Once we license your manuscript, our team handles the episodic script adaptation, narration, cover art, audio mastering, and distribution across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, and more.
-
Yes, as long as you hold the audio/podcast rights—or your publisher is open to a licensing partnership. Many authors signed print and ebook deals with small, medium, or even major publishers while retaining their audio rights. Check the "Grant of Rights" section of your publishing contract: if you kept your audio rights, you can partner with us directly.
If your publisher holds the audio rights but hasn't done anything with them, we can still make it happen. Publishers love free marketing that drives print and ebook sales, and since AudioPulse charges $0 upfront, we frequently work directly with publishers and literary agents to license and produce the podcast on a shared-revenue basis.

On Amazon, your book is a single product listing competing against millions of others. Major podcast directories function as massive, high-ranking search engines and online archives. Because we serialize your book into multiple episodes, your title, author name, and genre keywords appear across dozens of indexed episodes where millions of listeners are actively searching for their next binge-worthy story.

Manuscripts need to be at least 20,000 words (roughly 80 pages).
We welcome all genres, as long as the content does not violate standard platform terms of service. Generally speaking: mature content, yes. Pornographic content, no.
